Niches

A niche is a recessed place in a wall. In olden days servants would stand in these niches for hours, hoping the king would come by, and be able to serve him. So a niche also could be a place to wait for game to pass by, like a water seep for animals and birds to drink. When I was a teenager, we would go to baseball games and usually stand behind the bleachers along either third or first base lines hoping to get a foul ball. That could be a form of niche. These are just some of the things we do in the physical realm. In the spirit realm, I believe God wants all of us to find our niche in life – a job, craft, hobby, or a place to serve, while waiting on God to speak or nudge our spirit in a given direction. Perhaps we may see someone who may be tired and hot that looks like they may need a drink. The Lord may whisper to your spirit and say, ” That person needs a drink”. When we obey His voice or nudging and give that drink, it is pleasing to God. For as much as you have done it unto this one, you have done it unto me.  At what ever occupation where you conduct yourself, that position where you are is your niche, watching and waiting to serve the King of kings, and Lord of lords. Be Blessed and Remain a blessing.Image
