Little Things Mean a Lot

Summertime here in WV has been really hot, as is the rest of the country. There is not much activity in nature during the hot, muggy parts of the day. I’ve gone back to watching the small critters in our great big world. The good Lord made all things great and small, so there is much to learn. I’ve been watching the ant, bees, butterflies and tracking and observing the beautiful, but often elusive, hummingbird – not at the feeders, but out in the country side. I have found one type of evasive plant that grows along the edge of the woods that has very small orange colored blossoms. Going different places to find this flower, and on finding it, I just sit in my car and in just a few minutes, I always see anywhere from one to five or six hummingbirds. They are fun to watch as they flit about and chase each other, making little chittery sounds. There is so much to learn from nature that God has provided for us to enjoy. It’s a good time to do this until it cools down and the migration season starts. It may not sound like a lot, but as the old saying goes, ” little is much when God is in it.” Perhaps if we let Him know how much we appreciate the small things, He may just surprise us with something else that we’ve never seen before. Stay excited, it’s fun being alive! Be Blessed and Remain a Blessing.ImageImage
